Kingsburg vs CA 2015 Housing Market Forecast

hpi_2015forecast
As predicted by the California Association of Realtors: “With more available homes on the market for sale, California’s housing market will see fewer investors and a return to traditional home buyers as home sales rise modestly and prices flatten out in 2015”. I’m not sure if I am on the same page as C.A.R. when it comes to the 2015 forecast. Kingsburg inventory of homes is still relatively low. The past 3 months we have had less than 20 homes within the city limits on the market. Our price per square foot dropped a little in October, but we had several homes sell over $140 PSF and a couple over $170 PSF, which is great news.
The forecast by the California Association of Realtors looks pretty conservative to me. Since our inventory is still low and our sales are higher than typical, hopefully we can look forward to a continued robust market. The Kingsburg real estate market has always been just a little bit better than the California market overall. We are and continure to be a bit of an anomaly.
I know it’s hard to talk about the holidays, but they are here! Coming up on November 28th at 6 p.m. is the Swedish Tree Lighting Festival, Julgransfest. And following this event on December 6th is the Santa Lucia Celebration with a Festival of Lights Parade, crafts/food vendors and a gingerbread house competition. The craft/vendor booths will open at 10:00 a.m. and the parade starts at 5:30 p.m.
The staff at The Housing Connection and New Era Financial wish you and your family a truly wonderful Thanksgiving and hope that you are able to spend it with loved ones.
