The July 3rd event will begin at 6:00 pm with an old fashion all-American patriotic celebration including fireworks, food and plenty of fun. Admission is $5.00. And more Kiwanis ice cream.
Now on to the Kingsburg real estate market: Well, in May we reaped what we sowed in April. There was a whopping 15 homes SOLD in May. Best month for sales in a long time. Normally we hover around the 7 to 8 closings, so last month was a real good month. Our inventory went down again too. As of May 31st there were only 21 homes for sale within the city limits of Kingsburg.
Appraisals are still a real big issue. I talked to some of the other agents in town and they are experiencing the same problem. Last week I had another home appraise for $10,000 below the agreed upon price. This was a modest home and we had supporting comps. Extremely frustrating!
We are proud to announce that we have two new awesome agents now working at The Housing Connection; Juli Thompson and Billie Wainwright. Both of these young ladies worked very hard to pass all the classes and tests to become REALTORs and we welcome both of them to our company!
We all send patriotic wishes to you and your family for a great Independence Day celebration.
And as always, thank you for reading our monthly blog and feel free to post any comments.
