Housing Recovery Expected to Press Forward

From a survey by Fannie Mae in February 2014; “Americans’ outlook on housing and the economy has fluctuated somewhat during the past few months, but the trend remains positive. The housing recovery is continuing, but is not yet robust.”
I like that word “robust”. I don’t think we are quite there either, but we sure keep moving in a positive direction here in Kingsburg.
8 homes were Sold in February (same as January) and the average Price Per Square (PSF) is now up to $138 (January was $122). We’re still looking at a good Seller’s market this spring with low inventory, again the same as January at 22 homes on the market. And we are experiencing a tick up on the mortgage interest rates.
April 19th is the 20th Annual Car Show held in downtown Kingsburg. In addition to all the beautiful cars, there will be food booths, kiddy area, great shopping and the pancake breakfast at the Senior Center from 7 to 11 am. Also look for the crazy Kiwanis Car Smash on California Street, just south of Draper. Come take a pot-shot at a 2001 Honda to benefit the Kiwanis Eliminate Program.
As always, we appreciate you taking the time to read our monthly blog post and look forward to any comments you might want to make.
