Growth in Housing Permits Continue to Rise

I know I have said it before ….. but, I will say it again. When builders have enough confidence in the market to risk developing and building again, it is another sign that the real estate market is improving. As you can see from the chart below, almost all cities have experienced growth of some kind. Wonder what is happening in Redding with that 21% increase in new home permits? And look at Bakersfield and Santa Rosa. Kingsburg is not even on the map when comes to new permits. We just simply do not have land available for development without annexation which is a costly and lengthy process.

Inventory continues to drop here in Kingsburg. As of March 31st we only had 12 single family homes for sale within the city limits. We had 11 properties that were sold and closed escrow. The price per square foot inched up for Active listings, but dropped a little for the sold properties.
Here’s our video blog on events coming up in Kingsburg.
