Finally! Times are good again!

Boy does it feel good to say that! Now if we can only sustain this trend, the market will continue to move upward.
A couple interesting things about the 8 transactions we closed in the month of February ….one sold for $160 per square foot (Yeah!) and two of the sales were $300,000 plus. I check back in my archives when I was producing a quarterly e-newsletter and in the 2nd quarter of 2008, the average price per square foot was $161. So it looks like we are trending upwards to 2008 prices. Also interesting fact in that 2008 e-newsletter, was the average 30 year fixed rate mortgage at 6%. Wow. Now the average is just hovering around 3.63%, so low interest rates are still available. And it’s also good to see some upper end homes sell as well.
Each month our Inventory continues to drop. Currently we only have 14 single family homes for sale and the inventory of homes for listings within the 3bed/2ba, 1200 to 1500 square foot home range is still negligible.
Remember ….. spring is the very best time of the year to sell your home. So now is the time to list your home. Get top dollar for it and get it sold quickly.
